We did not meet the “traditional” way. We met through a dating app. After a month or so of messaging, we spoke on the phone for 3 hours and met in person the next morning. Dakota drove up to South Lake Tahoe to meet Gina and they walked through the woods to Fallen Leaf Lake. Fast forward to March 2nd 2025…we drove out near Yearington, NV to meet up with friends to hopefully tree a mountain lion. After some hours and the weather getting to not be in our favor; we parked to hang by the river. Dakota suggested we take a family photo where he tricked me to look for a fish that just “jumped” so he could get down on one knee. Going on 6 years later, we are excited to vow to forever on the same day we met.
