The Proposal - Her Take

April 27, 2019

The. Perfect. Weekend. The entire weekend leading up to the proposal was an absolute dream. It all started with me finishing my didactics (a bittersweet moment) and Vipul's first surprise was a massage at a spa. It was just what I needed after a stressful ending to my 3rd year of pharmacy school. The next day was followed by Vipul's second surprise, coming home to a private chef. She moved to the US from Italy and started her own private catering business and made the most amazing food I have ever tasted! The next morning we left for Austin where little did I know the most romantic proposal was waiting for me. We took a helicopter ride and Vipul knew my love for art so of course he incorporated that into the proposal. We flew over a gigantic hand painted mural that said "Will You Marry Me?" and I turn to Vipul seeing him holding a beautiful ring and of course said YES! The Proposal - His Take

April 27, 2019

That weekend was an emotional rollercoaster for me. Proposing to the woman I love was an important step for me. The day leading up to the proposal, I was confident that everything I had planned for the day was going to work out great. My nerves were calm, confidence through the roof, weather was perfect, the artists were working to finish up a giant proposal mural, and all our friends and family were in town and ready to go. As I was driving in the car with Krupa and seeing the skyscrapers in Austin over the horizon, I started feeling on edge. I remember when we reached the airport for our helicopter ride, just moments before the pilot came over to walk us to the helipad I forgot the ring in the car! I had to make an excuse to use the restroom and quickly run out to the parking lot. I was so nervous I was sweating profusely, I had butterflies in my stomach, and my legs felt weak and shaking and my heart was palpitating so hard it felt it was going to burst out of my chest. Finally! I got the ring, and we were both getting escorted to the helipad to enter the helicopter. Moments later we lifted off and started our tour of Austin with the sun setting in the distance. There was no turning back now. We were closing in on the mural site, the co-pilot mentioned something was coming up to gauge her attention. As she turned to look below her, she saw a giant mural of a silhouette figure proposing with the caption "Will you marry me?" She turned back around at me, and I was holding the ring. Without giving it a second thought she said "YES!". At that very instant, I gained a life partner. All my nervous feelings ceased and my excitement and adrenaline from her answering yes, kicked in. I am blessed to call this incredibly smart, talented and generous woman my FIANCE and soon-to-be WIFE.
