Our story began in the summer of 2018, while both working at Devon Yacht Club. That summer was filled with beach days, live music, sunsets, and just the right amount of questionable late nights out. Once he laid eyes on her, Andrew was rarely far from Taylor. He could often be spotted abandoning his friends mid-outing to hop in a cab and follow her to wherever the next watering hole might be. Somewhere between his karaoke performances, “Good morning sunshine” texts, and undeniable persistence, he managed to win over Taylor’s heart. And Taylor, with her adventurous spirit, vibrant personality, and passion for chasing a good sunrise or sunset, made it pretty easy for Andrew to never want to leave her side. When summer ended, distance stepped in. Andrew went back to college in Cortland, and Taylor went to teach in Astoria, but neither were ready to let each other go. By October, what started as a summer spark had proven to be something real. Through new jobs, big dreams, three master’s degrees, a doctorate, and moves from New York to Colorado and back again, they grew side by side, choosing each other every step of the way. Upon their first visit back to Colorado, the place where their lives together truly became one, Andrew asked Taylor to spend forever with him.
