GETTING THERE

Travel Note

Ferry from Anacortes

You can get to Orcas Island from the mainland in Anacortes and drive onto a ferry. Summer is a busier time on the islands, so if you want to make it to the wedding, it is imperative that you make a ferry reservation for your trip to and from the island well in advanced. Make sure to go online and reserve right when space is released. Reservations are released in three tiers: March 9th 7:00 a.m. PST: 1/3 of all standard vehicle space is released 2 weeks before each sailing date at 7:00 a.m. PST: 1/3 of all standard vehicle space is released 2 days before each sailing date at 7:00 a.m. PST: Final 1/3 of standard vehicle space is released 10% of the vehicle desk space is always held open for emergency and stand-by vehicles. Additional stand-by space may be available due to no shows. If you show up to the ferry terminal without a reservation, you could still get on a ferry but plan on arriving two hours early and waiting.
