How We Met

January 2014

Thanks to our mutual friends, Devin and Lauryn, we met playing on a recreational volleyball team at the CLC (Community Life Center) at Mount Pleasant Christian Church. We found out that there were several times that we could have potentially met in high school but God had a plan for us to meet at the perfect time.

Our First Date

March 2014

Our first date was at Einstein Bagels in Greenwood on a Saturday morning for breakfast. The day before we both attended an externship together through IUPUI. This was the first time I ever saw Zach in a dress shirt and tie (yes, I was crushing hard)! After our Einstein Bagels date, we shared our first kiss and the rest was history...

Facebook Official

April 2014

Zach changed his Facebook status April 4th and "surprise" we were in a relationship! I had no clue because he never asked and all the sudden my best friend was calling me to find out why I didn't share the big news... On April 6th, I had him ask me in person so I could say, "heck yes!" To this day, it is still the best decision I have ever made besides saying yes to be his wife, of course!

Puppy Love

August 2017

Zach adopted our sweet little puppers who is now a giant almost two years ago! Cooper has stolen our hearts (and several pairs of socks). He is very spoiled with awesome grandparents who love him as their own. I am still getting the hang of being a dog mom but I do love this munchkin so very much! He has brought joy to our lives in so many ways

The Proposal

December 2017

Zach planned a surprise date night for us to celebrate the end of our fall semester (or so I thought). After dinner at the Eagle's Nest, he surprised me with tickets to the Nutcracker Ballet. We headed back to his apartment, put on some comfy clothes, snuggled up by the Christmas tree, and started a movie. Zach spent a lot of time making a thoughtful gift with over 50 notes he had written to me. We began to read them together and when I started to read his favorite note, he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I could not stop asking, "is this a dream?" It was perfect and of course I said YES! We were able to celebrate with our close family and friends during the next few days which meant the world to us!
