We love our little surf town and we want you to enjoy it too! Flagler Avenue is a one stop shop where locals and visitors come together to enjoy a strip of great surf shops, restaurants, bars, and açaí/coffee joints (GoJuice is our personal favorite) that leads right up to the beach where you can walk, drive a golf cart, or drive a car onto the beach. If you take an immediate left on the beach and take it all the way down you’ll eventually hit the NSB Jetty where you can explore along the rocks, watch the local surfers, or just sit back and relax in the sun.
Located on beachside in NSB, this dog park costs $10 to enter but has miles of beautiful dunes, boardwalks, and dogs. Take a stroll around and keep an eye out for Gopher Tortoises in the dunes! We recommend getting here early in the AM since this more local spot tends to fill up quickly and has limited parking.
Located on the mainland side of NSB is this discovery center. An affordable entry fee gets you access to some beautiful conservation spots on site, marine and aquarium life, and educational pontoon boat rides. We recommend stopping by Merks Bar and Grill after for a dozen of their Frankenstein wings (make sure they are tossed, grilled, and re-tossed to get the full experience).
If you have a car or are willing to Uber this little gem differs from the NSB Marine Discovery Center. This marine rehab and science center has an in-house sea turtle hospital, sea turtle tanks, stingray feedings, touch tanks, an outdoor raptor/bird area and reptiles. If you venture down this way we also recommend stopping by the Ponce Inlet Lighthouse which is just around the corner.
This bar is where a lot of magic happened for us and it holds near and dear to our hearts. A once local dive bar turned into one of the most popular nighttime bars in NSB, this Irish pub has a variety of beverages, great food, and an amazing outback area full of heaters, tv’s, and corn hole.
