Erik and I met in high school while we were both working the NYS Fair (so romantic, I know). He was a senior and I was a junior, so you can only imagine the excitment I had when I found out Erik had a crush on me. I of course played hard to get for a couple months. Our first date we went to the movies and I insisted I bring my best friend Kerri because I was too scared to be alone (lol, thanks anxiety). Erik went off to Fredonia in August of 2011, I had one more year of high school left. I went to Binghamton the following summer and we spent a good portion of our relationship far from each other. We only saw each other during breaks and on weekends we traveled to see each other. Erik moved to Columbus for a year while I finished my masters degree. In 2019, we moved in together and we adopted our dog, Callie, who is the craziest, most loveable girl in the whole world. On January 11, 2020, Erik popped the question. A complete surprise to me, but it was even better than I could have ever imagined. In December of 2020 we bought our first home together. In February 2021 we will be celebrating a decade of love, and we cannot wait to share our special day with you all in July.
