Thomas and Emma met at their neighborhood pool the summer going into eighth grade. While there was always a spark, the two remained friends and loosely stayed in touch through high school. In the winter of 2021, Thomas asked Emma out for dinner in Annapolis. They went on two dates over that winter break, but with Thomas in his plebe year and Emma heading off to study abroad in Scotland, they decided to remain friends and stay in touch. Over the next two years they thought about each other often and connected once in a while. One day Thomas asked Emma to coffee and later said, "I often wonder what would have happened if timing had ever worked for us" to which she replied, "I think about you a lot." That was it, the summer of 2024 they finally started dating - 11 years after they met at the pool. The rest is history...
