Bride
Soon-to-be Scheibeler!
Groom
The guy I had a crush on in high school, but never had the courage to talk to. Who knew he was the love of my life? Evidently, he did, and about 46 years later, he found me.
Best Woman
The greatest person you'll ever meet! (Per Kelsey) And the best daughter I ever had! lol. Can't say enough about her so I'll just go with the greatest person you'll ever meet. ;-)
Best Man
Mark's nephew, oldest son of his sister, Tamara. Mark is going to have to write the rest.
Flower Girl
I met Mara in a four-hour interview for our first ever accounting intern. She impressed me so much, I hired her on the spot! Three years later, she's still here having been hired full-time two years ago and we don't want to ever let her go. As soon as I told her I was getting married, she wanted to be the flower girl. She may be the oldest flower girl on record at the age of 25, but I'm positive she will be the flower girl you will never forget!
Flower Guy
Muldo is a former member of the Fightins front office, and I wish he had never left. You never want the life of the party to leave, even when the party is actually work. Well, except for his singing. He was in a loud and long rendition of "What Does the Fox Say?" once when I was actually trying to think, and I yelled out of my office, "Muldo, STFU!" Who better to make a fool of himself dancing and being the Flower Guy? After all, he's done it before as Broccoli. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s58LKqsuC8I Sorry, can't seem to make it a link.
Bridesmaid
I met this lady at a Riesentoter dinner at the Capital Grille, and we hit it off instantly! Unfortunately for her, she has also had to hear the trials and tribulations of my love life over the past few years, but now she's so lucky she doesn't have to hear about it anymore! lol. She and Joe Kuscinski were part of our engagement at the Whip Tavern, and took some great photos!
Groomsman
The best son I ever had! And another one of the greatest people you'll ever meet. ;-) Spent six years of my life driving him to hockey practice and games three times per week. By the time my lease was up on the Pathfinder, I was 40,000 miles over. I had to buy it. The next four years while he was at the Hill School, I only had to go watch him play. Wait, not had to, I was privileged to! You may not recognize him from the photo. His hair is much longer now, his new COVID lockdown do.
Bridesmaid
I met Ellen probably 17 years ago when she was singing with the Dave Mell Blues Band. An awesome singer as all the wedding guests will find out as she, and her husband, Dave, will be performing with their band for part of the reception. Ellen has become a great friend over these past 17 years and when we sing together on a few songs, people think we're sisters (but she has a much better voice)...sometimes even twin sisters!
Groomsman
Leader of the Dave Mell Band, husband of Ellen. I first met both of them back in 2005 back when they were Dave Mell Blues Band, my favorite genre of music. Our friendship has centered around music and going out to breakfast after a gig. Lots of really early mornings at the West Reading Diner watching the "Parade". lol. Jeremy even took guitar lessons from Dave one summer. And then I introduced them both to Mark and they embraced him immediately. Dave is a talented guitar player, his band is fantastic, and both he and Ellen are great friends of ours.
Bridesmaid
I met Maggie not long after I joined Riesentoter (our regional Porsche Club of America) and she's been a great friend ever since! This lady is an autocrosser! Unfortunately for her, she's had to hear about my dating life over the years, but she's always supportive! lol. She, and her husband, Dave, were part of our engagement at the Whip Tavern, and I love that they were a part of it.
Groomsman
Mark is going to have to write about Shreyvon. He knows all the good stories. ;-)
Music
My friends, Eric Ziegmont and Michele Scribbick, along with their bass player, John, from the band Sapphire will be providing the ceremony music as well as music for the cocktail hour. Enjoy!
Entertainment
You're going to hear some fantastic music! Left to right: Fran Trioli, Dave Mell, Ellen Mell, Tom Arnold, Tim Koss...well, you can't see Fran or Tim, but they're in this photo.
Officiant
I first met Mayor Moran when he came by the stadium during his campaign. I could tell he really cared about Reading and showed an excitement and enthusiasm not normally seen in an elected official. I was sad I couldn't vote for him since I only work in the city, I don't live in it. He became Reading’s 84th mayor in 2020, and also the first Latino to be elected mayor in a Pennsylvania municipality with more than 85,000 residents. Mayor Moran was born in Hatillo, Puerto Rico – a city much like Reading. His mother, a widower, courageously relocated her family to Brooklyn, New York, in the late 1970s. She made such a brave decision in order to give her children better opportunities to succeed. Mayor Moran witnessed his mother’s spirit of determination and hard work which has profoundly inspired his caring outlook on life. Mayor Moran is the proud husband of Ruth Moran and loving father to twin boys, Daniel and Tyler. His goal to build a better city for everyone, began with his desire to provide his beautiful family a safe place to live, learn and play. The Mayor’s focus now is to bring that experience to every resident in – and visitor to – his beloved City of Reading, Pennsylvania. We are both so honored Mayor Moran agreed to officiate our wedding.
