We first met at work and instantly clicked when we realized we loved playing pranks on each other. We would playfully go back and forth, and we became good friends during this time and always had each other’s back. It took us several months to start dating, but when it happened, we instantly knew we were meant to be together, a feeling which never changed. Every trial and tribulation in our lives led us to each other, which made it all completely worth it, and we continue to be thankful for both the good and bad experiences that set up the unlikely circumstances for us to meet. We are so excited to make it official on 11/11/23 and share this amazing time with all of our truly supportive and wonderful friends and family.
The proposal took a highly coordinated effort. I wanted to surprise Kristyn in Pittsburgh, the city near where she grew up and was special to her family and us. On the day of the proposal, I was so nervous that I told Kristyn I loved her every hour, just trying to reassure myself that she would say yes. Thanks to her family, who were masters of concealment, I successfully surprised Kristyn (so much so she may or may not have let out a cuss word). She gave a resounding ‘yes,’ and we celebrated with a spectacular steak dinner. It was a beautiful moment with her family around us and a day that we will cherish forever and never forget.
