RSVPing will be done here on our website. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE FRIENDS AND FAMILY MEET AND GREET, THE CEREMONY AND, THE RECEPTION ARE STRICTLY INVITE ONLY.
Royal purple and black.
Semi-Formal: Tuxes and gowns are welcome, and so are suits, slacks, and cocktail dresses. Please dress respectfully and please, DO NOT WEAR WHITE or colors close to white (light silver, light pink, etc.) Our wedding colors are royal purple and black.
For women, cocktail attire typically calls for a dress that finishes at or just below the knees and high heels. Although cocktail looks should always appear sophisticated, they can also be fun and embrace exciting colors, embellishments, and unique accessories. Please remember to not wear white though. Our colors are purple and black if you’d like to match.
Of course we can’t say exactly what the weather will be like, but it will hopefully be around 65-75 degrees with a bit of a breeze. We will be on the coast line for the ceremony at sunset, so it may get chillier toward the end of the ceremony.
The ceremony will be at Sunset Cliffs, here in San Diego, CA. There is a guest limit of 50 people, so the remaining guests are welcome to head to the reception location to view the live stream. The reception location is going to be the Veterans Association of North County Oceanside room; and all transportation will be the responsibility of the guests.
After the ceremony is completed, Leo and Kristy will walk back down the aisle together and ride alone to the reception location. Guests will be responsible for their own means of transportation to the reception location, where everyone will be meeting for photos, dinner, drinks, toasts, and cake.
You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly. We will also host a live virtual ceremony on Zoom, so if you would like to watch, please make a Zoom account ahead of time. PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND IF YOU ARE FEELING SICK, the bride and groom don’t want to miss out on the honeymoon!
The meet and greet starts at 4:45 pm, but feel free to start arriving at 4:30 pm. The wedding will commence at 5:30 pm sharp, as sunsets at 6:01 pm.
For the ceremony, parking will be along the roads and in the lots in ocean beach and sunset cliffs. Parking does get taken fast around sunset, so please be sure to be on time.
Kids are welcome, but we do ask that if your child starts crying or misbehaving during the ceremony or reception, you move them away from the area until they’ve calmed down, as this could cause extra stress and is disruptive to speeches and vows.
We have a strict guest list as we will only have so much space for the reception. Our wedding is strictly invite and RSVP only. Plus ones will only be accepted for spouses and dependents. Please be sure to mention how many people will be in your party.
Unfortunately, our budget does not allow us to pay for all of our guests expenses. The reception food will be funded, but other than that, guests will be expected to pay for their own travel, food, drinks, and entertainment, we apologize for the inconvenience.
Because this is a very intimate event, we ask that during the ceremony and during the arrival, first dance, games, and the duration of speeches and toasts at the reception, please do not use your phone or cameras. We will have two photographers and a videographer and we will be hosting a live stream that is being recorded, so there will be plenty of memories to go around after the wedding. Feel free to take photos at any other time, and post them with the hashtag #akleowedding
Yes, we encourage guests to post pictures on to their social media channels, our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #akleowedding so we can keep track of all of your pictures! (Please note that phones will not be allowed during the ceremony or during speeches at the reception)
