We met while working at the same long term care facility. I was a nurse. He was a CNA. He did the opposite of everything I asked. I think he was just trying to make sure I paid attention to him, lol. And I did. Soon he was "breaking all [his] rules" and we were planning a birthday trip together. (Yes, we have the same birthday). We flew to Denver, enjoyed the Mile High City, and fell in love...with the city and each other. We came home and before long he became "Papa Bear" to our beautiful Mya and our journey began.

It was the absolute most perfect, for us, proposal! While sitting on the couch at home, watching TV with Mya; he said, "Will you marry me?" I laughed and said, "are you for real or playing with me?" He was serious. The answer was Of Course, Absolutely!...from me at least. He asked Mya if he could marry her momma and She quickly and boldly replied, "NO!" and walked off. After just a bit, she came back and said, "Just kidding, Papa Bear, you can marry my Momma. You'll be a great Dad" changing his look of bewilderment into a radiant smile! We are so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you! See you Under the Stars!
