I met Kristy for the first time back in late fall of 2019. I was presenting a business plan with some teammates at a coffee shop called Kiln in Grand Junction, Colorado. Kristy was there with her boyfriend at the time. Although I wouldn't fully express it for 1.5 more years, I knew it was love at first sight. The day after my recent birthday she called me. I was a few months into living in Arizona. In the first 10 days of phone time we spoke for almost 50 hours. Everything just fell into place perfectly between 2 imperfect people. We actively keep God at the center and fall deeper in love everyday.
Bryan asked me to go steady just a few days after we reconnected over the phone. For years I had prayed for a sweet moment just like that. Bryan had no idea just how much I had thought of him since we met. We were like kids again, blushing and giggling as we gazed at each other over Zoom. As big nerds, we spent our date nights watching Wandavision together. We would each walk outside some nights as we talked on the phone and search the sky for Orion's belt- our stars. It wasn't long at all before Bryan asked me if I would be willing to watch a marriage video with him and share my thoughts. I learned the value of a covenant relationship over a consumer relationship, and how true love means we face life together no matter what. It was that video that kick-started our relationship, because we both felt that we could always say "no matter what" to each other.
