The Trofimchuks

One night while out at Midland Brew House for the usual weekly debauchery, I (Kristy) happened to stumble upon a pasty blonde man in a long white windbreaker jacket (Dennis). Naturally, my instinct was to go up to this gorgeous human and humble him for wearing what looked like a science lab coat to a bar. We got to talking and I guess he liked my banter, so you can imagine how the rest of the night went. (Sorry, mom.) After many months of getting to know each other, it was evident that we filled in each other's blanks- I'm art, music, and books; he's math, science, and history. Like magnets, we couldn't say away from each other. So, on January 1, 2019, he asked me to be his girlfriend with a white rose in my living room while in front of my mom. I couldn't believe the man who was never in a relationship til now wanted to be in one... with me! While I was skeptical of our success rate, I knew the chances of finding someone like him anywhere else would be a long shot. So, I said "fuck it". Let's do this. Since then, we've had so many adventures. Everyone started calling us "mom and dad" since it was evident even to them that we fit together perfectly. We're a great team. Probably around 2022, I started bugging him to just marry me already. I knew I wanted him forever since day 1. But, sadly, he kept putting it off. Fast forward to 2023 when he, unbeknownst to me, took my mom out to a winery and asked for permission to marry me. Uncontrollably sobbing, she said yes. She always loved Dennis like a son. And so, the elaborate plan began. He planned this scheme to get a customized black diamond ring, fly me out to France (since I practice French) in May 2024, take me to Disney Paris, and surprise me out there with our family. It was surreal. Everyone keeps telling me that I'm lucky. Lucky doesn't even begin to describe it. Now, here's the part where we switch things up. We're inviting you all to a wedding reception, not a ceremony. The date 04/27/2018 was the date my life changed. Due to its significance, we will be holding a private ceremony with immediate family only in 2025. However, the PARTY will happen on 08/10/2025. Not only does this give us more time to make it perfect, but it's also a second big reason to celebrate. Since you're all with us anyway, we're going to use this date to welcome the groom and love of my life, Dennis, INTO HIS 30'S! We know many of you live further away, so this is the perfect opportunity to get everyone we love together to celebrate LOVE and LIFE! <3
