On the first day of spring, Kris, Jared, Jen and I planned an afternoon at the Botanical Gardens in Des Moines. We were blessed with beautiful weather, and Kris told me Jen was bringing her camera to brush up on her photography. Once I heard Jen had her camera, paired along with Kris’s nervousness - I knew he had something up his sleeve. Jen thought it would be funny to capture Kris and Jared’s “bromance” with some photos. She had Kris down on one knee like he was popping the question to Jared. She then had me turn my back to Kris, arms crossed as if i were mad that he hadn’t proposed to me yet. When she prompted me to turn to face him - I was stunned to find Kris down on one knee genuinely proposing to me. This was an easy and quick "YES!"
