We met at Tremont Tavern - our favorite beer and burger bar. We just happened to sit a few seats down from one another. Luckily for us both, our dear friend Liz has never met a stranger and after striking up a conversation with Kristopher, she insisted that we talk. The conversation went on for hours, although we are certain the majority of it was spent talking about our dogs. At the end of the night, after a little liquid courage, I made a bold move and asked for Kristopher’s phone number. We went on our first date the next week and were pretty much inseparable after that.
It was the Saturday after Thanksgiving and the Crawford family was all gathered together to celebrate the holiday. Just before dinner, Jason (Kristopher's middle brother) asked the family to come together for the blessing. We all joined hands in the living room and Jason asked us all to go around the circle and say one thing that we were thankful for. Little did we know, Kristopher had let Jason in on the secret that he planned to propose when it became his turn. It's no surprise that the majority of everyone expressed their sincere thankfulness for the family surrounding them in the room. The circle ends with Kristopher and everyone is already a little weepy for the sweet and tender moments shared from everyone's hearts. Next thing we know, Kristopher is down on one knee in the middle of the circle and everyone gasps in awe! Completely surprised and overwhelmed by the amount of love in I have for him , I of course said yes!
Kristopher and Laura celebrated their wedding day with a small group of family and friends at Alleia in Chattanooga, TN.
