Our story began in the summer of 2010 B.C. (Before COVID). Yes! Almost 2 decades ago. From our very first interaction, it was clear that we would either be each other’s person or forever left wondering. Our hearts and souls chose the former, and on August 21st, 2012, we said YES to each other for the first time. That first yes led to our first date at Burger King on Stefko Boulevard back when they still had $5 chicken sandwiches. It led to long conversations on the phone from 9 PM Saturday night to 7 AM Sunday morning, where we talked about everything and nothing, and fell asleep, but arose to each other’s voices. With each passing day, we fell more deeply in love—not just for each other’s passions and personality, but for the kindness exhibited, loyalty shown, and the way we made each other feel seen and cherished. That first yes led to navigating a long distance relationship for over 2 years. It led to hard conversations about our future before we were fully able to conceptualize what it all meant. Fast forward to January 2022 A.C. (After COVID). Almost 10 years of sharing laughs, navigating life’s ups and downs, and countless moments in between, we decided to say yes to each other for a second time. A little older and wiser, but still our eyes and hearts fixed on each other. And with our newfound wisdom we embarked on a journey that saw both of us achieve our goals and a promise to always be by each other’s side. We traveled and indulged in our heart’s desires. We both experienced heartbreaking losses, but we were always by each other’s side. –Kristoff April 19th, 2025, we said yes to each other for a third time; well, Donna said yes, and I asked. I didn't ask her to be my wife. I asked her to be my life partner. To be the person that I always wake up to. To be my person forever. –Donna Few people are blessed to meet their soulmate at a young age. I am endlessly grateful that I met mine when I did. We've had the rare privilege of growing up together—learning, maturing, and facing life's challenges side by side. We are two imperfect people who chose, again and again, not to give up on each other. On August 16th, 2026, you will witness us say yes to each other once again.
