WHAT IS THE OPENING TIME OF THE RECEPTION/RESTAURANT?

Check-in: 15.00 – 19.00 Check-out: 8.30 - 11.00 Early check-in/late check-out are not allowed under any circumstances. The reception desk is open: 8.30 – 12.00 15.00 – 24.00 - On wedding day the reception is open all day. - Team services are included until 12PM - The party has to stop at 2AM

HOW ARE THE TEMPERATURES IN TUSCANY DURING SUMMERTIME?

Answer

Summer in Val d’Orcia is sunny and dry. The weather in July is usually 32° C during the day and 17°C at night. It will be very hot, so remember to bring hats, sunglasses and good suncream (best 50spf). In Il Rigo, we can get umbrellas for the wedding day to hide from the sun.

WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE FOR THE WEDDING?

Answer

We decided to get married in July which means - super hot temperatures...forgive us! That's why we advise you to bring light, breathable clothes (linen, cotton) in light colors. The sun in Tuscany can be very strong, so remember to bring hats, sunglasses and 50SPF cream. As bride and groom we will wear white for the ceremony, so this color is reserved. You can pick all the colors of the rainbow! We would love this ceremony to colorful and happy. So NO BLACK and WHITE.

WHAT SHOES I SHOULD WEAR?

Answer

We will be in the countryside, so we would suggest wearing flat shoes. The area is mostly grass and the dance floor is grit. Those of you, who would like to wear high heels, choose those with wider heel.

WILL THERE BE MEAL OPTIONS FOR GUEST WITH DIETARY RESTRICTIONS OR ALLERGIES?

Of course! Il Rigo's kitchen is prepared to serve you food respecting all dietary restrictions and allergies. Please, any of you who has specific diet, food preferences, allergies - LET US KNOW!

IS THERE A HAIR DRYER IN THE ROOM?

Answer

Every room has a hair dryer. BUT. They are not that strong. So, if you need a more air in your hair, we recommend you to bring your own :)

WHERE I CAN IRON MY CLOTHES?

Answer

On the wedding day, we can set up an ironing board in one of the living rooms, so all of you can have access to the iron. It is not possible to use the iron in Poggio Bacoca (the second house) or in the bedrooms for safety reasons.

IS THERE A SWIMMING POOL?

Answer

No, but there is a natural pond, though, with frogs and water-lilies, where you can jump in to refresh yourself! A few minutes away by car, you can reach the many natural hot springs of the region as well!

IS THERE A KITCHEN AT OUR DISPOSAL DURING THE STAY?

Answer

No, there are no kitchens at the guests’ disposal. The living rooms are equipped to prepare tea and coffee, and there are fridges in Poggio Bacoca for water and drinks. The reception area will be available for cafe services and drinks from 8:30AM to 12PM, and from 3PM to 7PM.

IS THERE AIR-CONDITIONING IN THE ROOMS?

Answer

No, there is not. The houses are old and were not constructed like a hotel. However, there are portable fans in every room for the hottest summer nights. The Val d’Orcia is quite dry and windy, which usually makes for pleasant sleeping weather at night.
