Our story began back in 8th grade, when Ricky moved from Kansas to North Carolina. He was the new guy at school, and as fate would have it, he and Kristlyn ended up in the same Homeroom class. Kristlyn was a cheerleader, Ricky played football—and even though they didn’t know it at the time, something special was already beginning. Toward the end of that school year, they started talking on Snapchat, and the connection was instant. Their conversations felt effortless, and they quickly realized there was something special between them. Not long after, Ricky asked Kristlyn to be his girlfriend—and without hesitation, she said yes! Even then, she had a feeling he was the one. Their very first date was at their small-town movie theater, where they watched The Smurfs. They were both nervous, but it was sweet and unforgettable—a perfect beginning to their story. Since that day, Kristlyn and Ricky have grown together through every season of life, sharing memories, supporting each other, and building a love rooted in deep friendship. Fast forward to December 2024—Ricky proposed to Kristlyn in the heart of downtown, surrounded by glowing Christmas lights that lit up the night. Their families were there, making the moment even more meaningful. But the surprises didn’t end there. The very next day, Kristlyn was swept off her feet with a surprise wedding lovingly planned by her amazing husband. It was magical, emotional, and a perfect celebration of their journey. From middle school sweethearts to husband and wife, it’s been history ever since—and they couldn’t be more excited to continue writing their story together. For Kristlyn and Ricky, this wedding isn’t just about a beautiful day—it’s about celebrating the journey, the laughter, the lessons, and the unshakable connection that has only grown stronger over time. It’s about honoring where they’ve been and joyfully stepping into where they’re headed, hand in hand. We can’t wait to say “I do” surrounded by the people who mean the most to us.
