What time should I arrive?
Answer
Please arrive at the church at 4 pm. The ceremony will take place promptly at 4:30 pm. Navigating downtown will take a little more time than a ceremony out of the city, give yourselves ample time. Please visit our "Travel" section for parking and hotel accommodations and our "Location" section for informational maps (and also things to do!)

What is the dress code?
Answer
Summer Formal (and fun). Bring your best selves, if you're looking in your closet and thinking "ou is this too loud" wear it. We'd like everyone to feel comfortable and have fun at our wedding however you'd like to present that in a Summer Formal way.

Will it be indoors or outdoors?
Answer
Plan for both! The ceremony will be held in the church! The reception has both an indoor and outdoor space. Weather pending: we will utilize the outdoor garden space/courtyard as much as possible!

What will the weather be like?
Answer
August in Providence, Rhode Island is on average 80 degrees. We're situated very close to the coast which brings some humid forecasts. We've had cooler Augusts and very spicy Augusts! Plan to bring lots of light clothing, and perhaps some light layers. Be sure to check the weather leading up. It's notorious for being the month with the most sunshine. Yay! :)

Wedding-day timeline?
Answer
The ceremony and reception are taking place on the same property. Following the ceremony, the guests will be directed to a cocktail hour proceeded by welcome speeches. Dinner will be served cocktail-style through a variety of stations. After which we'll have dancing! Bring comfortable shoes and expect a night of great beats and tunes!

Getting to the wedding venue? Will transportation be provided?
Answer
If you're staying at Hotel Providence or the Dean, you will be under a five-minute walk to/from the venue. Transportation will not be provided, however, we will be providing valet for all of our guests who choose to bring a car. See "Travel" for valet information.

What type of food will be served?
Answer
The bride and groom both have a strong Mediterranean palette, expect a mixture of mezze, tapas, and American bistro selections.

Yes, most definitely.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?
Answer
We are doing an unplugged wedding ceremony. We have hired a wonderful team of photographers so please do not bring your phones into the church. During the reception, you are free and welcome to take as many as you'd like.

When will the reception end? Will there be an after-party?
Answer
The reception will end at 10 pm. We are still deciding on the after-party arrangements. An update (here) will be made as soon as we make official arrangements. Downtown Providence has a lot to offer.

I'm visiting from out of town. What can I do while I'm in Rhode Island?
Answer
Please see our "Location" tab. We have provided a landscape of opportunity for you and yours to adventure both inside the city and down near the coast. Rhode Island is a popular destination to vacation during August due to our coastline. We'd be thrilled to hear you found time to enjoy the many landscapes and counties our beautiful home has to offer.
