How We Met

Neighbors at First Sight

Interview Style: Kristine- K Richard- R K: How did we meet, Richard? R: The first time "I met Cece" was across the street in the house I grew up in Hilo, Hawai'i. I thought, "Wow Grandma Demi has a Granddaughter?!" K: Yeah- I moved there to live with Grandma Demi & finish school. R: I didn't really meet her that time I saw Cece across the street with her long wavy hair & her tan skin. Cece was yelling for Grandma Demi in a quiet neighborhood. I thought, "Wow she's really cute & loud" and I stared at her to see if she would look at me, but she didn't she just went to Grandma. K: I wasn't yelling in a mean way- she can't hear very well and was 91 at that time! But yeah-I know what day you're talking about because I saw you too! I thought you were a girl because your hair was really long and wavy- Sorry for thinking that, babe hehe! R: Wait, what? You saw me that day? I didn't know that!! Well the REAL first time I met Cece was at my house when I tried to sell her my mini van. Cece went over to my house & my mom introduced us. K: Yeah- that mini van had a swimming pool in the trunk lol. And you did say to me, "I met you before" even though we didn't R: I didn't know it was flooded in the back, babe- sorry! It was a good minivan though. Anyways- she didn't want the minivan- But that was a vital part to our love story that Cece didn't accept my offer. It was good thing I was a bad sales-man because later that week Cece asked me to help her look for a car. So we drove across the Island to Kona. In those two hours we got to know each other- about her life and about mine. At that moment I knew that this girl was special and I wanted to get to know her more. K: What happened after that? R: We started talking more & then one day I saw Cece's cookies on Instagram & I asked you for some. It was the best cookies I've ever tasted in my life! K: After that we became good friends, working out, baking, eating, & just spending time together That's the short story! <3
