WE'RE GETTING MARRIED!

We locked eyes at my friend's house party, of course Steven being rico suave asked if I wanted a drink and even though my cup was still full I said yes. We kicked off some conversation and realized we were both from the same town-small world. The next thing I knew we were in the pool having a chicken fight and having a great time. After the party was finished Steven could not get enough of me so he invited me to his friends house to a small get together. As the night came to an end I figured Steven would ask for my number and he did. Steven actually text me as soon as I got home that night and we ended up seeing each other everyday that summer. And the rest is history!

This was our first Euro trip together and Steven’s first time in Europe. We visited several cities in Italy but the big day happened while we were visiting Florence. We had planned the whole trip together but one thing I had zero details on was our private wine tour to the Chianti Classico region in Tuscany. Chianti Classico is our favorite wine to drink at home by the way! The morning of the tour we met up at the pick up spot and then headed to our first winery, La Massa. We had a great time considering we had wine for breakfast! Our next stop was at Ristorante Albergacci di Castellina, where we had an amazing Michelin star four-course lunch! Our final stop was at Castello della Paneretta. This castle had one of the most beautiful views I have ever seen overlooking the Chianti Classico region. We toured the grounds of the castle and saw the process of the wine production. After the tour came the best part, the wine tasting. The wine tasting was in this medieval looking dining room, our wine tour guide suggested we take our wine and go enjoy the beautiful view out on the terrace. I grabbed my glass of wine and started walking through the castle to the terrace where we bumped into two photographers who said they were taking pictures of the castle and asked if we would mind standing in for some candids. While we were standing outside Steven faced me and began talking in a really serious tone, I can’t tell you exactly what he said because at that point I knew what was coming and totally blanked out! After his speech he got down on his knee and asked me to marry him! Elated, I said yes! And thus our two-hour photo shoot with our photographers began with my fiancé! We are so excited to start this next chapter of our lives and to celebrate with every one!
