Every great story starts somewhere, and ours just happened to begin between cocktail shakers and dinner rushes at Uncle Julio’s. Louis was the manager, calm under pressure, and Kristin was behind the bar, keeping things running and pretending not to notice the guy who always found an excuse to stop by. For a year, Louis asked Kristin out, and for a year, she made him wait — not out of disinterest, but because something about it felt too good to rush. Eventually, timing did what it always does, it worked its magic. One date led to another, and before long, they realized what they had found was something rare. What started as coworkers laughing between orders grew into a partnership built on mutual respect, patience, and a lot of humor. Since then, life together has been full of memories, from living in another state for two years to traveling, exploring, and always finding their way back home to each other (and their two very spoiled cats who quite literally run the house). Looking back, it’s clear every step, every shift, every small decision, every almost-moment — led them exactly where they were meant to be. Kristin and Louis’s story isn’t one of instant fireworks, but of something even better: a slow burn that turned into a lifelong love. And now, they can’t wait to celebrate their love with all the people who have been a part of their journey.
