We met through mutual friends. Our friends, Alan Nelson and Jon Stevenson, had planned an outing at a local shooting range and then a brewery, and Alan invited Kristin while Jon invited Will (also his roommate). While at New Terrain Brewing, we learned we had quite an ironic similarity - mutual ties to little Northwest Ohio! We were friends for about a year and a half before going on our first date on August 13, 2021, which was at Wonderland Brewing. The rest is history!
Scotland is a place that means a lot to both of us! It was the first international trip we did together, and it helped shape a lot of our relationship going forward. You learn a lot about a person when going on trips abroad, and this trip helped both of us to realize that we were the perfect fit for each other and in it for the long haul.
We recommend either flying into London Heathrow (LHR) and taking a train up to Edinburgh, or flying into Glasgow (GLA). Rental cars will be required to get to the house from either option.
Temperatures in June average around 61F/48F. It's Scotland, so there's always a chance of rain! There will be around 17 - 18 hours of daylight each day.
We kindly ask that you RSVP by February 15th.
Our hope is to have the ceremony outdoors in front of Loch Tay, but this will be weather dependent. Our backup option is to bring the ceremony inside to the Snug room in the house. Dinner will be served in the house's main dining room.
We will be reaching out to everyone to see what allergies or restrictions we should be planning for. Our chef can modify the menu to accommodate our guests' needs, and we will ensure we have options available for everyone!
We are asking guests to wear cocktail attire.
