We agreed early in our relationship, that if it the Lord was willing for us to marry, we would save "I love you" for engagement. We certainly showed each other our love in our actions and conversations, but did not say it directly. Seth said it first right before proposing. Of course, Kristin said "Yes!" and then she told Seth that she loved him too.
Seth began gathering with the church at Grace in June 2024. After a few weeks he introduced himself to Kristin and asked if he could play her guitar. She didn’t know he was a musician and thought it was a cute way to make an introduction. But he played so amazingly beautifully that she was quite impressed. It was the first spark of interest for Kristin. As Seth began to learn about Kristin’s story in more personal ways by interacting in small group, in music ministry, and in seeing her great love for people, he was gradually drawn to her. This culminated one evening in ministering together to help a family who had come to the church building with many needs. The way they worked together so easily and lovingly, along with recollecting some of Kristin’s more notable virtues, reminded Seth of qualities he had been looking for in a wife, and he told her so the very next morning! Following a brief period of prayer and discernment, they officially embarked on their loving, passionate and joy-filled journey.
Kristin: The love, grace, and faithfulness of God. Seth: Love for God with all of my heart, soul, mind and strength, and love for my neighbor (especially Kristin) as myself. All of these come through and go back to God.
