What should I wear? Is there a dress code?
Answer
Have a sequin suit that you've been eyeing online? Or a fun dress that you've worn once and never thought you'd wear again? How about a stunning feathered feature that is deserving of the Met Gala? Wear it! The dress code is Colorful Formal- suits, jumpsuits, dresses, gowns of all colors and fabrics welcome! What will the weather be like this time of year?
Answer
During the month of August, the weather is usually warm and sunny in DC with average temperature highs in the 80's and lows in the 60's. Please plan to dress in layers to ensure you're comfortable throughout the weekend.

Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?
Answer
Our wedding ceremony and reception will both be taking place at Autoshop in Washington, D.C. Autoshop is a former auto body shop turned event space. You will recognize it from our save-the-date and engagement photos.

What happens after the ceremony?
Answer
After the ceremony, guests can attend cocktail hour on the upper level of our venue and the adjoining outdoor terrace. We may be taking a few moments to ourselves after the ceremony, but look forward to joining you for all the fun soon after!

Are there other wedding events I can attend?
Answer
We are putting the finishing touches on pre and post-wedding festivities. Please check our website for updates.

What should I do if I can’t make it?
Answer
You will be missed! Please let us know as soon as possible if you can not attend the wedding. Feel free to email us at rachelkristinwedding@gmail.com.

How do I get to the venue?
Answer
We have blocked hotel rooms within walking distance or a short drive from the venue for the convenience of our guests. We also recommend taking an Uber or Lyft. Alternative transportation will not be provided.

Where should guests park?
Answer
We highly recommend taking an Uber or Lyft to the venue instead of driving. Parking can be difficult to find near our venue, and there will not be a valet.

Are kids welcome?
Answer
While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.

Can I bring a date?
Answer
If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you. We will only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.
