Arrive into Florence Airport (Amerigo Vespucci Airport) From Florence Airport: La Foce is approximately a 1 hr 45 min – 2 hr drive through the Tuscan countryside. We strongly recommend renting a car, as it is the easiest and most flexible way to reach the property and move around during your stay. Second Option: Arrive into Rome Fiumicino Airport (Leonardo da Vinci International Airport) From Rome Airport: La Foce is approximately a 2.5–3 hr drive. Car rental is recommended, or private transfers can be arranged upon request. ~ Total cost of car rental for 4 days: ~ $300 After we have received our RSVP's we will be happy to help coordinate and organize rideshare / carpooling based on arrival time :) Note: The rental places will also request for a valid credit card. Driving laws in Italy are quite similar to those in America, and Italians also drive on the right side of the road. However, be mindful of speed cameras - they are widely used, and Italian police typically rely on these rather than pulling drivers over for speeding. Guests may also travel by train, though a car will still be required for the final portion of the journey: From Florence or Rome, take a train to Chiusi–Chianciano Terme Station (the closest major station to La Foce). Cost: ~ $20 Time: 1:30 minutes From Chiusi station, La Foce is approximately a 30-minute drive by taxi or rental car. As La Foce is located in the countryside, we highly recommend renting a car for ease and flexibility throughout the weekend.
