Kristin & LaDarion ✨ From a Shot to a Sure Thing It was January 14th—technically the next day, since it was 3 a.m.—and Kristin was just about done with the house party scene. She was out with her college friends, winding down, absolutely ready for bed (and probably already mentally in her pajamas). But just as she was preparing to leave, a friend convinced her to stay a little longer—“My boyfriend is coming, and he is bringing some friends!” Enter: LaDarion. He walked in with his best friend and another buddy, mingled a bit, and then made his way toward Kristin like the universe was guiding him straight to her. She was sitting at a table, minding her business, when LaDarion poured two shots. He handed her one. Kristin said no—she was done for the night. But then, somehow, with that smooth smile and a little bit of charm, LaDarion convinced her to take it. And that was it. One shot, and she was hooked. (Let the record show: it was the man, not the drink.) 💌 Long Distances & Late Night Drives Not long after, LaDarion and Kristin were making late-night drives across Texas—him from Mesquite to Stephenville, her back to Mesquite—just to spend time together. Whether it was long talks, Taco Bell runs, or sharing playlists, their connection only grew stronger. 🌊 Cruise Ships & First “I Love Yous” On May 17, 2018, Kristin was on a cruise with her family, slightly annoyed that her parents didn’t want to go horseback riding through the ocean. (It’s a whole thing.) While she was pouting in paradise, LaDarion woke up with her on his mind. And just like that, he texted her something that would change everything: “I love you.” Middle of the ocean, middle of nowhere—and she felt the same way. 🍼 From Roommates to Parents Fast forward to moving in together, building a home, and welcoming their sweet baby boy into the world. Parenthood brought its share of late nights, laughter, diapers, and growth—but it only made their bond stronger. Through pregnancies, growing pains, and everything life threw their way, Kristin and LaDarion stayed committed, kept choosing each other, and always found their way back to love (and snacks). 💍 The Proposal On August 4, 2023, in the comfort of their apartment—their cozy, shared space filled with memories—LaDarion proposed. It was private, personal, and exactly the way Kristin would’ve wanted it. No big crowd, no stage—just love. 🎰 Vegas, Baby! Now, years later, with a five-year-old by their side and love that’s only grown deeper, Kristin and LaDarion are saying “I do” in fabulous Las Vegas. With God at the center, their family behind them, and a whole lot of love (and maybe another shot or two), they're celebrating the start of forever.
