We met AT a wedding! Whaaattt!?!?! We both film weddings for the same videography company, and one day we were assigned to film a wedding together! Kristin thought she was meeting Jordan for the first time on the shoot, but little did she know Jordan had already seen her while editing wedding footage. Not in a weird way! Just one of those “oh… she's kinda cute” moments. The wedding we met at was unique in that we actually had downtime to talk. What started as simple conversation about shot coverage, turned into travel stories, food recommendations, future aspirations...and the rest is history. We laughed. We hiked. We cooked. We explored. Eventually, we moved in together in Logan Square, Chicago, a neighborhood perfect for us: walkable, full of must-try foods, and packed with constant new experiences. We soon adopted two snuggly, wuggly, cute, furry, little, wormy, noisy, attention-seeking, playful, kitty cats, August and Baloo. These two are full time professionals in mischief-making, biscuit-making, and walking across keyboards during critical work moments. But the biggest plot twist came in the Porcupine "Mountains" of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Kristin thought it was just another backpacking trip. Beautiful views, fresh air, the usual freeze dried biscuits and gravy for breakfast. But Jordan had tucked a SURPRISE into his pack, a custom moonstone ring that he was saving for the right moment. We hiked to our campsite one afternoon on the trip. A private wooded site on a small lake. The sun started to set, the atmosphere turned golden, the trees swayed in the breeze, and Jordan knew it was the right moment. Jordan proposed, Kristin was shocked, in the best way, and said "yes". Now we're engaged! And enjoying every moment of it! We can't wait to keep adventuring and laughing, as well as hiking our way through new forests, eating our way through new cities, and squeezing our little kitties oh so tight.
