Travel Note

About Estes Park, Colorado

Known as the "Gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park", Estes Park is a small mountain town about a 90 minute drive NW of Denver, CO. We recommend flying into Denver International Airport and renting a car for travel to, and around, Estes Park. On the drive between Denver and Estes Park, you will pass through the towns of Boulder and Lyons which both offer much to do and beautiful views (as does the Denver area!). If you are prone to altitude sickness, we recommend staying a night in Denver prior to traveling to Estes Park to combat the effects of altitude acclimation. See below for specific information on travel and accommodations.
