Jared and Kristin met in Greensboro, North Carolina. Kristin was there for a travel nurse contract and Jared was a working at Haeco. Like all newbies in an area, they were both on Bumble to find friends and hope for some local to show them around. They ‘matched’ and started talking, and connected on the fact that they were both new to NC. Their first date was at a brewery. Kristin was all for it, Jared ironically picked the place and rarely drinks. They bonded over their love of dogs, hate of car bumper stickers, and many other topics. It was smooth sailing from there.

Jared kept asking Kristin to visit North Carolina, where they had first met. One day after he asked to go there, Kristin said; "Why? Are you going to propose to me there?" Jared thought, well crap. That ruined that. Instead of proposing to Kristin in the mountains of North Carolina, he proposed to Kristin in their apartment in Victor, New York. Kristin's parents were visiting and were in the living room with Ava, who was crying. Kristin came out of the bedroom, got her a bottle and walked over to her parents, Jared, and Ava. Kristin found Ava playing with a ring box in her hand. Jared got down on one knee and asked her to be his wife. Kristin cried, Jared cried, and of course Ava cried. It was the easiest 'Yes' of Kristin's life. Jared made it so special by including Kristin's parents and face timing her brother through it all. Kristin, of course, was in work out gear and a messy bun while Jared looked very nice. Kristin said "'Oh no!, I need to go put makeup on and get dressed in something nice and do my hair." Then they redid the proposal and took family pictures. It caught Kristin by surprise and was a beautiful day!
