We both went to the same high school, but never came into contact. Years later, at our favorite bar, my friend asked if she wanted her to go up to him for me. After first hesitating, I decided to give her the go ahead. He introduced himself and we parted ways. But something happened that night that clicked. I reached out the next day and we never looked back.

We went to surprise one of our life long friends in Charlotte for a weekend. While walking to grab lunch, we stopped in beautiful Romare Bearden Park to take some photos. After we got a group shot, our friend suggested couples pictures. As soon as they were ready to start, Douglas got down on one knee. Many no's out of pure surprise, and several tears later, I hugged him and said of course! We cannot wait to share our day with you!!
