Kristin became friends with a group of guys which was nicknamed the “Bo’s.” Most of them worked together at Food Lion and attended Chapin High School, where Kristin also went to school. Among this group were Drake Gaudet and Pearson Graham, who are both part of the wedding party today. Kristin also brought two of her closest friends into the group, Mary Grace Galloway and Mackenzie Houmiel, who are also standing by her side on this special day. One day, Drake introduced a new friend to the group—Destry, affectionately nicknamed “Desbo.” Although he attended Mid Carolina High School, he worked at Food Lion with the others and became apart of the friend group. Before long, Kristin and Destry started texting and talking on the phone, and their friendship grew quickly. The entire group would hangout together, gathering for what they called “Bo Meetups.” As time went on, Kristin and Destry realized their friendship had grown into something much more. On June 22, 2017, Destry asked Kristin to be his girlfriend, and from that day forward, they began building a life together. After years of making memories, supporting one another, and growing side by side, Destry proposed at Pretty Place Chapel on January 16, 2025. Over the years, they have celebrated each other's accomplishments and stood by one another through every stage of life. Their shared love of travel has taken them to 13 countries, creating unforgettable memories and adventures around the world. As they look ahead to the next chapter, they are excited to build a home together, continue exploring new destinations, and enjoy all of life's moments as husband and wife.
