Chris and I met through a mutual friend around thanksgiving of 2015. Neither of us had any intention of looking for a relationship, but our friend was convinced we would make great friends even if we never had a dating relationship. Both of us being hesitant, we decided to meet to make our friend happy. After meeting at the mall doing some christmas shopping and having good conversation, I could see why our friend wanted us to meet. After that, Chris asked me on what we consider our first official date, which was not clarified as a date until after becoming boyfriend and girlfriend. We continued to go on dates, but every time we talked about what our relationship was, Chris’s famous line “ It’s whatever you want it to be” came about, which at the time I thought was strange. After talking about it later on, I realized that response meant we knew we enjoyed spending time together and didn’t want to mess it up by moving too fast in the relationship. From there we continued to go on dates, met the families and spent time with our families while still just remaining friends. I knew Chris was a keeper when he allowed me to use him as a model for a mens cutting test in beauty school when I only knew him for a month or so, which was my first ever haircut on an actual person. Finally a few months went by and I made the initiative to put my feelings out there and see where things went, bringing us to the day we decided to become boyfriend and girlfriend officially. A lot has happened in the past four years, learning more and more about each other, with many ups and downs that made us grow stronger together as a couple. I knew I didn’t want to spend my life with anyone other than Chris. On August 17th of 2019, Chris got down on one knee at the beach in Erie and I said yes with no hesitation knowing we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together. Now we are becoming more eager as the days count down that we will become husband and wife and we couldn’t be more excited!
