We met during pre-nursing studies, in Anatomy and Physiology 1. Kristin was running late and asked Chad if she could sit next to him in the back row. They became study buddies and at Chad’s suggestion spent almost every Sunday that quarter studying at The Couth Buzzard bookstore. When Chad picked up a copy of The Best American Comics 2012 Kristin knew they shared a love of niche comics. Chad also let Kristin play Sarah McLachlan on repeat in his car. And here we are more than a decade later.

We decided to go to the Seattle Municipal Courthouse right the same week Chad’s mom Sheila was visiting Seattle for her birthday (just a few week’s after Kristin’s mom Jonelle’s birthday!)
