We met on bumble! I (Kristin) saw that he was a single dad of two, and that actually made me more interested. I brought Kenzie on our first date to Jim N Nicks. (I know that sounds crazy.) Kenzie was (and still is) clingy as heck with me, but she let Aj hold her. I could tell how good he was with her immediately. The waiter told us we have a beautiful family. Aj responded, “Well, actually.. “ but I stopped him there. Fast forward almost a year and now we do have a beautiful family of 3 kids, 3 cats, and 4 dogs. We have a small circus but we wouldn’t have it any other way!

I knew he was going to propose, because I picked out my own ring. 😂 I just didn’t know when or how. We were having Kenzie’s 2nd birthday. I was dressed in my Disney princess dress and he was in his prince shirt. After Kenzie opened her presents, Aj announced he had a present for mommy. He read a speech (while shaking and trying not to cry) telling me how much he loves me, how he loves Kenzie, and how I love his kids. I honestly didn’t hear anything in the moment and had to watch the video back to see what he said. He then he said he had one more question, and brought Odin and Ari out in little shirts with our picture that said “Will you marry our daddy?” I nodded and grabbed the ring. I forgot I was supposed to wait for him to put it on me and I didn’t actually say “yes” out loud. 😂 Everyone had tears in their eyes while I was just in shock. It was so special because Nikki and the girls were in town from Texas and Margo was in town from California. I had a lot of very special people there to see the proposal. 💛
