Patrick & Kristina met at Flagler College (where both attended in St Augustine) and became friends instantly. After months of flirting, missing cues, and just being friends, Patrick wised up and asked Kristina over to his apartment for tacos and a movie. After a fun night of cooking, a dishwashing water fight and "White Chicks", they both knew this was something special.

Patrick gathered all of Kristina's closest friends and sent her on a scavenger hunt via romantic riddles (which IF she had guessed all the answers correctly) would have brought her (on the first guess) to all of her favorite places to visit in St Augustine with Patrick. The down-on-one-knee moment occurred with Patrick in a circle of rose petals on Vilano Beach.
