On Sunday, June 4, 2023, we discovered that each other existed because of Bumble, a dating app. Kristina had to message Jordan first because of the app rules. Thankfully, Jordan responded and the conversation never ended. We quickly bonded over so many things - our love of hiking and exploring, traveling, cheering on the Braves, and the importance of family. Our first date took place the following week on June 12 at Ponce City Market where we had our first of many Mexican meals together and then went to the rooftop to play carnival games. It was easy to have fun together after only meeting in person a couple hours earlier. Once we said goodnight we couldn't wait to get back home and start texting again. The next month, Jordan invited Kristina to come to the beach with him and his sister, and on July 28 as the sun was setting over the pier he asked her to be his girlfriend. It was the sweetest moment and I (Kristina) have the biggest smile on my face as I think back on that day. In the months following, neither of us wanted our dates to end so Waffle House became a regular go to, having more and more conversations about anything and everything. It didn't take long for both of us to realize that our morals, beliefs, what we value, and what we were hoping for in the future aligned. During the past year and a half our relationship has been full of tons of fun, loads of laughter and playfulness, honest conversations, transparency and vulnerability, being our true selves, quality time galore, getting to know each other's family and friends, learning, growing, traveling, and being in nature every chance we get. It's wild to think that we've already made so many memories in this short amount of time, and on Sunday, November 17 it became official that the making of memories would continue for forever! We were at the beach with Jordan's grandparents, and Jordan asked Kristina if she wanted to take a walk on the beach as the sun was setting. Of course she said yes, so they began their walk down the beach as Jordan brought up different moments and dates throughout their relationship. He mentioned how their first beach trip was special to him because that's where he asked her to be his girlfriend. Once we got to a secluded place on the beach, we sat down and watched the most beautiful sunset. A few minutes later Jordan stood up and asked Kristina to stand with him, got down on one knee, and asked her to marry him. The same smile that came over Kristina's face on the pier when Jordan asked her to be his girlfriend was the same smile that came over her face when he asked her to be his wife, and that smile hasn't seemed to leave since then. Now we are in the next stage of our relationship - planning our wedding and our future together. We are so thankful for each of you reading this and know that you have played a part in our lives. Thank you :) Getting to know one another and growing as best friends in love has been the greatest joy. We know that all of this is the sweetest gift from God and could not be more grateful!
