We're Getting Married!

Kristina's Side of the Story: I have known Dylan since I was in the first grade. He had started going to Seneca East the same year as I did, just was in the grade above me. We did not talk much until years later when we were in high school. We were friends in high school, and I always thought he was cute in a nerdy way. However, we were both insanely shy when it came to that kind of thing. He was friends with my older brother, so I never actually looked at him romantically. He was always kind and funny to everyone and was truly an amazing guy. Fast forward to November of 2023, I was in the middle of the hardest point in my life and feeling like I had lost all direction and would never smile again. I don't like admitting it, but I was on a dating app called "Hinge" and I was at the point where I was about to delete the app because it was getting me nowhere in finding love. Boy oh boy, am I so glad to be wrong about that. It was the night I was going to delete the app when I looked down at my phone and saw a message from someone named "Dylan", and if you know me, you know I have always loved that name. And there it was, the first thing Dylan messaged me... "yooooo" real smooth Dylan. My reaction was pure excitement when I realized it was him! We instantly hit it off, he asked me on a date where I yapped his ear off, and the rest is history. I can honestly say that I fell in love with him almost instantly. We now live together, have a fur baby family with Frankie & Toby, and now we are getting married. I truly believe Dylan was sent to me because he was the person responsible for bringing my smile back during a time when I never thought it would come back. He makes me the happiest I have ever been in my life. He is my soulmate, the absolute love of my life, and I can't wait to spend forever with my best friend.

Dylan's Side of the Story: I always yearned for something meaningful with someone. I was not experienced, and had only had my first kiss at 23! But I knew that I wanted something romantic with the love of my life, and when I found it I would hold onto it forever. I wanted someone that I could obsess over, someone that I could put all my love that I had bottled up and needed to share. When you had first matched me back on hinge I wasn't sure if you wanted to catch up with me or if you were interested. I was scared to be to forthcoming but I was definitely hoping you were crushing on me like how I was crushing on you. I knew the best way to get to know each other would be in person so I tried to get us on a date asap! When I finally got you to agree on a date, I was really nervous! I felt a lot more at ease on our first date than I did with anyone else. I had known you before and you were always so nice back then too! I remember you talking with your friends and thinking you popular and funny! During our first date I remember trying not to look dumb haha, and I remember thinking you looked so cute while you were talking and smiling. When we were leaving I knew I had to make some move so I hit you with the classic my hand is cold, you accepted and I was so happy! But then when you said your hand was cold on the way back I was infatuated. At this point you already had me! I was going to do everything I could to get that second date. Our second date was so fun! I got to show off my pool skills and flirt in the process. At this point I knew I wanted to go a step further with our first kiss, but I wasn't sure how. That's when I saw the old golf course! It would be remote and kind of cool to climb up there, I also thought it would make me look like a cool rule breaker😅 while it was quiet the journey, we made it to the top! At the top I knew it was my time to make a move but I was too nervous. Then my perfect love kisses me first! At this point I was in love and completely hooked. Nobody had been interested in me like this, I had never felt wanted like this. After that all I wanted was to talk to you, spend time with you, learn everything about you. After our second date the thought of being with you forever was already crossing my mind. You were perfect! The time until proposal went by so fast I wish I could have slowed down time to have even more time with you! For the proposal I had a few ideas that I kept rotating around, most would involve our new demon I mean puppy Toby. But once I had thought of winter garden and what it meant to you I knew it had to be there. Of course, the plans definitely fell out of wack. There was so much going wrong because of Toby and it was so chaotic, but even so you said yes and we were engaged! Thus began our current chapter of life where we take care of our fur babies and try our best to take care of ourselves! We have loved each other in new ways, and our bond is truly unbreakable. Our bond grows with each experience, and each day. I fall more and more in love with you. You are my everything, I want to hold you forever and ever and never let you go. I want to experience everything this world has to offer with you. As long as I have you with me my life is perfect. Nothing else matters besides you. I love you so much.
