FAQs

Question

Where to fly into?

Answer

Missoula, Montana. Unless you want to go elsewhere in Montana beforehand. Last year there were direct flights from LAX, but it seems that airline discontinued it recently and all flights now have layovers. We are sorry and hope that Alaska/Allegiant or another airline reinstate a direct flight soon.

Question

Where to stay?

Answer

FYI: Missoula is now holding their Rugby Festival on the same weekend - maybe they heard New Zealanders were coming. Book sooner rather than later. We recommend the AC Hotel by Marriott or Residence Inn by Marriott, which are next door to each other for an easy shuttle pick-up/drop off location, and in downtown Missoula. There is also a Hilton property and other hotels nearby. Additionally, there are hotels near the airport and we can have a shuttle stop there as well. We also recommend Air BnB properties, there are some varying sized properties around town and the actual venue is in Alberton approximately 30 miles from downtown Missoula.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Arrive starting at 4pm. There will be a cocktail hour and then the party will begin at 5pm and end at 11pm.

Question

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

There is parking at the venue at the bottom of the hill.

Question

Transportation

Answer

We will have a shuttle bus service to and from the venue with a pick-up/drop off location in downtown Missoula and near the airport if need be. The shuttle will begin at approximately 3pm and last until approximately 11pm.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Kids are welcome but for safety reasons, please do not leave children unattended in rooms or allow them to roam the property unsupervised. Steep cliffs, open water, wildlife, and a large fire pit are all hazards that are present on the grounds during events.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Mountain chic attire aka formal but with mountain flare and climate appropriate. The average high in May is about 70 degrees Fahrenheit and the sun sets around 9pm so bring something warm. Be wary with high heels, a thick heel should be ok, as the venue is grassy and hilly.

Question

COVID

Answer

At this time we are trying to figure out any necessary precautions to take with the current surge. Due to the fact that we have many people traveling from other countries (that will need to test negative to get home) and some vulnerable guests, at this time we ask that adult guests are vaccinated and/or take a negative test approximately two days prior. We will keep assessing the situation and post any updates here.

For all the days along the way
