Is there a dress code?

Answer

Black Tie. This means full-length (to the floor) formal gowns or dresses for women and tuxedos or dark suits for men. Feel free to get as glitzy and glamorous as you'd like. Short dresses and excessive cut-outs are not the best fit. If you would like to match the "theme", feel free to wear something in a dark, fall hue like deep blue, dark purple, maroon, or golds! The bridesmaids will be in emerald green. If you need some more inspiration or don’t know where to start, here are Kristina’s suggestions: for rental dresses and tuxes, try Rent the Runway (dresses) The Black Tux, or Generation Tux. For affordable options, check out places like Poshmark, Fashion Nova (trust me), ASOS, or Lulus. If you want to go all in on the unique/high fashion style, try Revolve!

Why is it black tie, and how strict is it?

Answer

Weddings are special (and expensive) affairs, so we ask that our guests respect how much work and love has gone into this event and dress their best to celebrate with us. That said, suits are fine in place of tuxedos and unless you show up naked (or in white), you won't be asked to leave.

We love your kids, but no. This is a buss-down adult party.

What will the weather be like?

Answer

October in the south is gorgeous — it will probably be in the 60s and sunny. Rest assured we have a heat and rain contingency plan!

If i'm not taking the bus, where should I park?

There is parking at the wedding venue!

Are the ceremony and reception locations wheelchair accessible?

Answer

Yes, and we will have a golf cart available for anyone needing assistance getting around the property!

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our wedding ceremony is outdoors, but our reception will be held inside. It will most definitely be air conditioned.

What kind of shoes should/shouldn't I wear?

Answer

The outdoor portion of the venue is paved, so you are moderately safe in stilettos or whatever you want to wear. Do not wear sneakers unless you're on the Tottenham Hotspur football team.

Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?

Answer

During the ceremony, no. Every other time, absolutely. We'll have a QR code placed around the venue that you can send your photos to so that we can look at them on the plane! The funnier the better. (Seriously, if I get a photo back and see your phone up in the air during the ceremony, I'm charging you. I don't know what yet, but I swear I will.)
