The wedding dress code is black tie optional.
Please note, the ceremony and cocktail hour will take place outside before moving indoors for the reception. Plan outerwear and shoes accordingly as it can cool down after sunset this time of year.
Parking spaces are limited at the venue. To ensure we have enough parking for immediate family and the wedding party, we kindly ask all other guests to please consider taking a rideshare as the venue is a short 10 minute trip from Santa Monica hotels. If our parking lot reaches capacity, some street parking may be available, though it requires a bit of a walk. We strongly encourage everyone to Uber/Lyft if at all possible.
No, both the ceremony and reception will be held at the Bel-Air Bay Club, so you need not worry about additional travel once you arrive.
For those traveling with children we respectfully request that you arrange child care on the day of the wedding, as apart from children of immediate family, this is an adult-only affair. We hope you understand and can still join us on our special day.
We invite you to be truly present with us during our nuptials with an unplugged ceremony. We kindly ask that phones and cameras remain out of sight until the ceremony concludes. We have incredible photographer and videographer teams capturing our day, and we will happily share our professional images with you after the wedding!
We are incredibly appreciative that our guests are traveling from far and wide so your presence alone is a gift to us. If you would like to contribute to our honeymoon or home fund please visit the registry page, however, please note this is absolutely not an expectation.
Once you receive your invitation, you can state any allergies or dietary restrictions on the meal preference card or you can email our wedding email account and we will promptly inform the caterer.
Los Angeles is a city built on highways, so if you would like the freedom to drive around while here then a car is suggested but not essential. Santa Monica is a walkable neighborhood and our wedding venue, hotel blocks and many activities are all within walking distance if not a short ride away. There are multiple ride share companies or for-hire rental agencies at LAX airport when you arrive such as Enterprise, Hertz and Avis. Please note hotels will require a daily valet fee which can add up. Recommended ride hail services are Uber, Lyft and Waymo (if you're happy to ride in a driverless vehicle).
While Australian citizens do not need a visa per se, they do require an Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) to travel to the United States under the Visa Waiver Program (VWP). This is not a waiver, but rather an authorization required before boarding. ESTA approvals provide 90 days travel (without work) and can take up to 72 hours, so it's recommended to apply as soon as possible. Please review your home country's travel requirements and ensure your passport is up-to-date as some countries require 6+ months before its expiration. The US Federal Government recommends printing the following documents to show at entry (if asked): - Accommodation bookings - Evidence of return flights - Evidence of sufficient funds for your trip Questions you may be asked by US Customs: - Why are you visiting the US, and how long will you be here? - Where are you staying while in the US? - Are you planning on working while you are here?
