Taipei 101
7 Section 5, Xinyi Road, Xinyi District, Taipei City 110, Taiwan
The tallest skyscraper in Taiwan, and in the world until 2010. There is an observation deck on the 89th floor, as well as plenty of shopping and restaurants.
Shilin Night Market
No. 101 Jihe Road, Taipei City 111, Taiwan
One of the largest and most famous night markets in Taiwan. This is a great place to try Taiwanese street food and pick up gifts and souvenirs.
National Palace Museum
No.221, Sec. 2, Zhishan Rd., Shilin District, Taipei City 111, Taiwan
One of the largest collections of Chinese artifacts in the world. Check out the jade carvings, including the jade cabbage, an iconic piece that you'll see replicated in many souvenir shops.
Longshan Temple
No. 211, Guangzhou Street, Wanhua District, Taipei City 108, Taiwan
One of the largest and oldest temples in Taiwan. Entrance is free.
Ximending
Wanhua District, Taipei City 108, Taiwan
A pedestrian only shopping district, famous for the food and fashion.
Yangmingshan
Taipei City 112, Taiwan
Yangmingshan is a national park a quick bus ride away from Taipei, full of parks, hiking trails, and hot springs.
