Matron of Honor
I am so excited to introduce my matron of honor Katie! She is the oldest in my family and over the past 28 years has been my best friend, role model, and someone I look up to. She has always been my #1 cheerleader for all my successes and accomplishments in life, someone whose always there when needed, and someone who never fails to make me laugh so hard that I'm in tears. We've had so many funny moments and have always been there for each other’s biggest events that happen in our lives. From the lady balding my head in a photo at Walgreens to being screamed at in a parking lot at Stop and Shop and all the Bee Videos in between, we have made the best memories. We are truly sisters by blood but best friends by choice. Love you big red! Couldn't pick anyone better to be my co-MOH.
Maid of Honor
My sister, my co-MOH, built in best friend for life. Having both my sisters in my wedding is the best gift I could as for. Karyn is the most thoughtful and giving person who deeply cares for every single person in her life. Whether I need a good laugh, someone to cheer me up, someone to pretend they are me on the phone for appointments (thanks boo!), Karyn is the one who I look to. You are the person who gave me my childhood nickname, and someone who thinks outside the box and gives the best and most thoughtful advice. You are someone who treats everyone so kindly and have been the greatest big sister a younger sister could ever ask for. Thank you for always going above and beyond and like Katie, we may be sisters by blood, but you are my greatest friend by choice. Love you Rinnie!
Bridesmaid
Briana- my ash, my cousin, my bridesmaid and more. I wouldn’t have you in my life if our dads weren’t besties! When I think of you, a quote comes to mind:" God made us cousins because He knew our fathers could not handle us as siblings." It's supposed to be mothers, but Jay and Tim came to mind. Ever since we were little, my life has been changed for the better as I have been graced with the most kind, generous, thoughtful friend and cousin. Whether our hangouts included sleepovers at your house, singing in the car and listening to Tim mess up every lyric, our adventures in Boston with Andrew, the list goes on and on. You are always someone with the best advice and someone I am so honored to have standing by me as my bridesmaid. Love you ASH!
Bridesmaid
The most kindhearted, always there for everyone, beautiful person inside and out; Victoria! Throughout the years you have been my snoop and the most thoughtful and encouraging person. Tori is one of a kind – someone who immediately brings joy into your life. When I look back on all of our memories together, I literally laugh out loud: from sleepovers at the mansion or Nana’s, code BLUE, bubble gum machines, kicking each other under the table when playing whist so we could win (sorry not sorry), peeing our pants from laughing so hard under a table while playing hide and seek, sipping tea with Nana, and climbing the dreaded Mount Washington, our list could go on and on. I admire how strong you are, your go-getter attitude, and the pure kindness in your heart. Love you!
Bridesmaid
Gabby is my forever partner in crime. And by crime, I mean the one person who constantly understands me and my life, as we have been graced with living life in the same stages; played soccer together in middle/high school, jumped for joy at our high school graduation, made our way to college and graduated with great degrees, got engaged in the same year to our soulmates, and constantly pursued our friendship and made the best memories through it all. Gabby has reminded me to always stay positive and never fails to make me laugh so incredibly hard. You are the Kuzco to my Yzma, the peanut butter to my jelly, and most importantly the best to my friend. I couldn't do life without you! We have had the funniest memories that I can't wait to tell our kids one day when they are besties.Love you!
Bridesmaid
A joy and light, Becca. Becca’s presence is something I cannot say I have seen before; she walks into a room and can automatically put a smile on every single person’s face. She is my absolute favorite person in the world. Being Becca’s friend, since we met in 8th grade of middle school, has brought me so much happiness and laughter. I can always count on Becca to be a listening ear, someone who will always have my back, a friend who is down for anything, and a shoulder to lean on. She is the most caring person I’ve ever met and someone whose always there when you need them the most. I hope all of you reading this have such a kind and beautiful friend in your lives because I know I have found that friend in Becca. Love you!
Bridesmaid
(Told by Jake); Erin is the Groom’s loving, caring and intelligent sister, who first met Kristie when she was 9 years old. From the start Kristie and Erin were like sisters, and shared the common interest of picking on Jake. Both Kristie and Jake have had the privilege of watching Erin grow up from elementary school all the way through college, where Erin is now studying towards a Master’s degree in education. We (Jake and Kristie) could not be more proud, and we look forward to experiencing everything else the future has in store for Erin. Ps - Kristie will always have your order in her mind when going to Dunks :)
Best Man
Ryan is one of the Grooms best friends, and has known Jake since elementary school. The pair have been through their ups and downs, from playing in little league tournaments and placing wagers on how long it would take Nick Crawford to come back from the bathroom during Mrs. Gerris’s 7th grade science class to the bad news Dodgers on the big diamond (that somehow finished 3rd) and meeting Jared Sullinger while both him and Ryan were recovering from surgeries. Due to Ryan’s size (> 6ft) and affinity towards most sports, many believe he should have gone D1 in something. Instead Ryan chose to join the University of Massachusetts Amherst Marching Band, where he met his fiancé Jennifer.
Best Man
Evan is one of the Grooms best friends, and has also known Jake since elementary school. Members of the OLGC middle school basketball team in the catholic league, Jake and Evan combined for a total of approximately 8 points in 20 appearances. Jake and Evan later went on to study at UMass Lowell together, starting many enviable traditions which included skipping out on the 2nd half of their 3 hour cyber security class to go eat at Moe’s, and ordering a large pork fried rice for dinner every night during finals week. Evan went on to become an electrical engineer, but has aspirations of playing on the European tour one day, however he would settle for the Korn Ferry.
Groomsman
Kurtis is a younger cousin of the Groom, who shares many of the same interests as Jake and has followed a very similar path in life. Over the years Jake has dragged Kurtis to numerous low profile sporting events including Providence Friars basketball games, Bobby Valentine era Red Sox games, and the Jeff Green/Avery Bradley led Celtics games. One memory that frequently comes to mind is going to a Celtics vs. Nuggets game (with Evan) during a snow storm to sit in the 9th row because tickets were cheap. This led to our big break, getting on national television.
Groomsman
(Told by Kristie) Doctor, JWE5, Jahn, my confirmation sponsor. John is a man who is hard to put into such a small paragraph. He always has such a positive energy and is the kind of person that you feel comfortable around instantly. I’ve had the pleasure, as well as my other sisters, to have bothered John for way too long and the fact that he still tolerates us is deserving of an award. He is such a fun-loving guy and is always a blast to be around. He incorporates his sense of humor in almost every interaction he has however, there’s way more to John than just his jokester surface. He is full of so much compassion and empathy and makes everyone around him feel like family, it’s just in his nature. He is someone I have always looked up to and has always been the best brother. Love you dude.
Groomsman
(Told by Jake): Angelo is the Grooms future brother-in-law and whist/45’s/trivia partner. Probably the most talented card duo of their era, they have never lost a whist/45’s match together. Critics say it’s unfair we formed a super team, but we did it all while staying under the salary cap. One critique of Angelo is that Katie needs to let him golf more. Jake is also proudly the Godparent of Angelo (and Katies) daughter, Charlotte. (Told by Kristie): Angelo is one of the most kind hearted people I've ever met. He is someone who will always be there for you and has been nothing but a great brother, someone I look up to tremendously. Jake and I have always admired Angelo and Katie's relationship;everyone needs an Angelo in their life! Ps, Katie and I are the most talented duo, obviously!
Junior Bridesmaid
My beautiful, intelligent, and very special niece. Aria, as the years fly by and you get older, I am in awe in how much you’ve grown. You are the person who first gave me the title “aunt,” which is one of the titles to describe me that I love the most. I’ve always considered you one of my own because of how close we are. Your laugh is so contagious and you shine just like a star. Always know that you will hold the most special place in my heart. Thanks for picking up my facetime calls (most of the time) and texting me back when you are playing games on your phone. I love how much you and Jake laugh and get along. We love you to the moon and back.
Flower Girl
God-daughter, Aria’s little sister, Abraham and Charlotte's side kick, Jake’s bestie, one of my flower girls. Lex, you have grown into the most adorable, feisty, kind little girl. You are my god-daughter and favorite hug. Watching you and Jake be best friends is the funniest and heart-warming thing to witness. I guess I’ll take second place and allow you to like Jake better than me. Thanks for always sharing your sour candy with me and always giving me the red sour patch kid because you know it’s my favorite. Jake and I love you so much and can’t wait to see you continue to grow into the bright young women we know you will become.
Ring Bearer
Abe the babe! The cutest little nephew around! Abe, I knew you before your parents knew you! I was lucky to be the person your mom and dad chose to know the gender for their gender reveal. You are one of my favorite hugs and have the sweetest personality. Whenever we see you, you run and give "Jakes" and I the biggest hugs. You crack us up every time we see you with your contagious belly laugh, when you take our hands and bring us to the fridge or cabinets asking for a snack, and when we sing with you and you say "Jakes/Kiki all done!" (I guess our singing voices aren't up to par). We have been so fortunate thus far to spend so much time with you and Charlie and always can't wait to see your cute little faces and get the biggest hugs. We love you so much!
Flower Girl
Little Charlie bear! Jake and I are so proud and honored that your parents asked us to be your god-parents. You are one of the happiest little babies I have ever seen with the cutest smile that brightens up any room. Our favorite things are when we start singing Old McDonald had a farm and you say "E-I-E-I-O" or when we ask if you want to watch Frozen, you say "YAAA" with such excitement, and then Jake doesn't believe you and says "want to watch football" and you say nothing. We love when we come through the door and hear little feet crawling towards us and see you turn the corner so happy until you get to us and reach up to give us a hug. We can't wait to watch you hit all your milestones and see you and Lexi walk down the aisle as our flower girls!
Father of the Bride
Sarcastic, frogger, peacemaker, Dad, Grandpa.Trying to write a small paragraph about my Dad and not have it be full of funny stuff is a hard thing to accomplish. There are so many admirable and hilarious things about my Dad – he is the person I admire the most.He is someone who extremely loves his family and would do anything for anyone. He has been my #1 supporter throughout my whole life; drove me to all my soccer games in different states, coached me in sports when I was younger, and never missed ONE game.In college, he drove me home and back - I owe him a lot of gas money (LOL). God must have loved me so much to have blessed me with being his daughter. He is a tremendous, kind-hearted, and wonderful person who I am so thankful to have walk me down the aisle on my big day.Love you frogger!
Mother of the Bride
Hero, teacher, selfless, role model, best friend, best chocolate pie baker, tremendous mother. Mom, there are so many adjectives I could say. Like Dad, you are my #1 biggest fan – someone who has always been at every sporting event and someone who always cheered us on no matter what success we just accomplished. You have shaped me into the person I am today - inspiring me to become the best version of myself. I know no matter what happens in life, I will always have you, which is the biggest blessing. You are the true definition of what a mother should be –kind, caring, compassionate, beautiful, funny, hard-working, and understanding. It is an honor when people say I am your “mini me” and I hope one day I can be the best mother to my kids like you have been to me. I love you so much mom!
Father of the Groom
John is the father of the Groom, and is Jake’s role model. The person who taught Jake how to be a man, put family first, and take pride in everything he does. John is the reason for Jake’s obsession with Boston College, and his knowledge of random factoids. Few things make Jake happier than making his father proud, and Kristie often jokes that he’s the only person Jake actually listens to. She may be right. If Jake could be half the father to his future kids that his father was to him, Jake would consider that a success. One of the most important phrases he says that I will now take with me is "Happy Wife Happy Life!"
Mother of the Groom
Renee is the mother of the Groom, who has played a massive role towards Jake’s successes in life. She spent endless hours pouring support and effort into every aspect of Jake’s life, from making sure he did and understood his schoolwork, to sports, to life in general. She made many sacrifices to make sure that Jake and Erin had more than they needed growing up, and there is no possible way to repay her (although she constantly asks when she’s getting grandchildren). To this day she is still on Jake’s case making sure things get done in a timely and orderly fashion. Both of Jake’s parents have provided him with more than he could ever need.
