We met on February 19, 2023, in the most unexpected place—Walmart. Somewhere in the back of the store, we crossed paths. I looked up from my phone and caught him looking at me. We smiled at each other and kept walking. By the time I made it to checkout, he was there too. This time, he didn’t let the moment pass. He walked up, asked my name, told me I was beautiful, and asked if I would take his number. I texted him later that same day, and from that very first night, we talked for hours. The next day, we did the same thing… and the day after that. What started as simple conversations quickly became something we both looked forward to every day. Our first date was a drive to Illinois to visit a learning store while I was in the process of opening my childcare center. We spent the day talking, having lunch, and getting to know each other even more. Somewhere along the way, things just fell into place. We don’t remember the exact moment it became official—but we do know that from the beginning, it felt right. Three years later, we’re inseparable—and so excited to spend forever together.
