It was in the middle of a pandemic, so what better option was there other than a picnic at the park? We were living in San Diego at the time, so at least the weather was almost always on our side. Seth brought his freshly baked sourdough bread (a pandemic hobby for sure!) and Kristi brought her favorite charcuterie treats. We closed out the park! That’s pretty much when we thought, "Okay. This could be something." Food was our love language then, and still is now. We love traveling the world, exploring new places and trying new foods together.

While on a beautiful summer vacation in Europe, Seth popped the question in Kristi's home country, Albania! Kristi and her parents were so excited to finally bring Seth to Albania and show him how special it was to them. In the midst of the incredible views, beautiful beaches, delicious food and wine, Seth knew there was nowhere he'd rather propose. After getting mom and dad's blessing, they visited 'Syri i Kalter' aka the Blue Eye, and despite the sweltering heat and infinite mosquitoes, he got down on one knee. Kristi was distracted by the beautifully clear blue water, but when she turned around, she was happily surprised and without hesitation said yes! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter of our lives with you. See you in North Carolina!
