We met during the theater production of Music Man that was being done through a church. Kristi," I first met Matt at the first play practice for Music Man. My first thought of Matt was that he was very sweet and was very much a gentleman. Throughout the play, I fell for the guy who liked to go skipping around the hallways and have fun. Towards the end of the production I decided to tell matt how I felt and I would like to date him. Matt then told me that he would like to become friends first before dating because he wanted to get to know me. I took this very hard because all he really said is," lets be friends first." I took that as a no. I later talked to my mom about it and she explained what he meant a little better. So I then accepted and we texted and became friends."

Kristi,"I waited patiently for Matt to finally ask me on a date. It wouldn't be untill the middle of the next play "Honk jr." for him to ask me on a date. He finally did on March 10, 2013. I was beyond happy that day. Our first date was to a play at his school which was "Wizard of Oz" and it was a lot of fun and thats the very begining of our story."

Matt, "our first date was at my high school spring musical, Wizard of Oz, I built the sets for it. We went with my parents, during the performance, it started snowing, it helped make the night even more magical. our second 'date' was the next night as Winterjam. we went with her mom, and the youth group. That night was also our first kiss. After that we didn't have too many dates, as much as hangouts. We didn't care what we did, as long we were together. This was a difficult year, we learned how to put God first to bring us together, that has made our relationship stronger."

Kristi, " we loved hanging out and going on walks through the metro parks. Our second year together Matt graduated high school and we went to his senior prom. I at the time was a freshman in high school. We went to prom and had a blast. Matt went to college at Toledo university for mechanical engineering. He is doing amazing just like he always does. We have stayed close, if anything we have grown even closer. we are both told of how much we have grown as a couple and how we have grown ourselves. We have laughed and cried together and we have been through hell and back. We have made each other stronger."

Matt, "Kristi had been bugging me ever since i started college, asking when, and looking at rings, just so i would know what she likes. After finishing my time at Tenneco, i had the money to be able to get a ring i Knew she would want. Early that summer, I showed her family the ring, Kristi knew i had it and was trying to sneak a peak, but was forced outside. The end of summer came around and it was time for my plan to go into action. The plan was to go to Amish country with my mom to take pictures on the very date we had already picked out. That changed when i started throwing up the night before, I was was sick all day. . .

Matt, " The food poisoning passed the next day, and with her no longer expecting anything. We went to a movie with my mom, then out to ice cream. I had told her mom what would happen and that wewere coming back. As we were walking, I stopped her and said there's something in my shoe. I got on one knee, took off my shoe and took out the ring from my sock. She could not believe it. 'Kristina Reeves, will you marry?' Teresa taking the pictures, telling us to hold up before we embrace, she was still taking photos. We took more photos and came inside to eat the ice cream."

Kristi, " when Matt proposed I actually forgot that I had to answer a question. When Matt said,"will you marry me?" I stood there smiling and just being happy and forgetting to say Yes! I eventually did after I got my head around what was happening. I was so happy and excited. it was one of the best days of of my life.
