Matron of Honor
Sarah is Matron of Honor for Kristi. Sarah and Kristi met in college and have been ride or dies ever since. Kristi was Maid of Honor to Sarah's wedding in 2017 when she married her husband Joe Sheets. They now have a 2 year old son together named Aaron. Sarah is credited to the majority of the decorations for our wedding. Fun story about Sarah: She hates snow. Which is funny because I moved to a warmer state and she stayed in Ohio. Anyway, Sarah and I were walking around campus one day after it had snowed, and not once, not twice! but three times we walked under a different tree and snow fell on her and completely missed me. 10 years of friendship and I still crack up thinking about it!
Bridesmaid
Kelly is one of Kristi's bridesmaids and her older sister. Kelly has 2 sons, Jordan (14 years old) and Jacob (19 years old). She was married to Donald Estep in August of 2022 where she gained 3 stepsons, Austin (19 years old), Michael (17 years old), and DJ (14 years old). Here is a story about my protective big sister: one day, our brother, Brian, was watching me at home after school. Well, he didn't want to worry about me while he was playing his games, so he tied me to the recliner and turned the TV on so I wouldn't move and was being entertained. Well, my big sister came home, saw me, and instead of untying me right away, she went and yelled at him for tying me to a chair, and then came to help a sister out.
Bridesmaid
Rachel is a bridesmaid for Kristi. Rachel and Kristi met in college when Rachel joined Sigma Alpha Iota (a music fraternity at Ohio University that Kristi was a member of). Kristi was a bridesmaid for Rachel when she married her husband, Matt Kennedy. Together, they have 2 children, Eleanor and Silas. Now, I would like to think that Sarah and I have a hand in Rachel's current life. We were in line to ride Diamond Back at Kings Island (an amusement park in Cincinnati). Rachel wasn't sure if she was going to give Matt a chance because, "he's just too nice of a guy." Both Sarah and I were like, "duh, so give him a chance." And BAM! she did, and now they have a beautiful home, family, and life together. You are welcome, Rachel.
Bridesmaid
Mary Beth is a bridesmaid for Kristi. Mary Beth and Kristi have been friends since high school. They both played clarinet in band. Mary Beth was 2 years ahead of Kristi. She is a mother to 2 fluffy cats, Roy and Frank. Now, I had no idea that Mary Beth and I were besties when she realized we were besties. I caught up to the party when I was a dumb freshman in high school and I was dating this upperclassmen. But, I didn't inform her that I was dating him because I didn't know I had to. One day, across the cafeteria, during lunch. Mary Beth yells, "JUNO STROPES!!!" I was terrified that this Junior was yelling my nickname across the whole school. So, I go over to her and all the other upper classman and she goes, "you didn't tell us you were dating (my boyfriend at the time)." I honestly didn't know I had to, but from then on I told her everything and we have been friends for 14 years since.
Officiant
Kelly Germann will be officiating the wedding. She has been one of Kristi's best friends since they were 6 years old. Kelly is engaged to Nick Gilbert. Together they have a newborn son named Ike. Kelly and I have been friends for 23 years, since we were 6 years old. Most people don't know this about us, but when we were younger, Kelly was a wild child and I was very shy. We met because our mothers both signed us up to play softball. Well, my mom made sure I was very focused on learning the sport since she played in the Navy. Kelly, however, was more interested in playing in the dirt, so I didn't think to follow suit. Coming up to her birthday, Kelly was having a party and decided she wanted me to be apart of the sleepover. She came up to ask me in front of our moms. Me, being the unbelievable shy kid that I was, looked at my mom (who said it was okay), and looked at Kelly and just nodded my head. 23 years later and I am asking her to officiate my wedding because I couldn't think of anybody else I would want to be in charge of such a monumental moment of my life.
Matron of Honor
Leah is Kaitlyn's Matron of Honor and is also her sister. Leah got married in May to James Fisco. Together they have a family of snakes and fishes. She is not only my sister but my first ever best friend. I am so very grateful to have her. I am so glad that we are as close as we are! We did everything together soccer, dance and colorguard together. She went to Kent State University, too. We call and text each other every single week since I moved out of Ohio. She never fails to share videos of their snakes and fishes. I miss her like crazy and am so glad to have her as my Matron of Honor!
Bridesmaid
Alex is one of Kaitlyn's Bridesmaids. Alex and her girlfriend, Cara, reside in Ohio where they have 2 cats, Apollo and Rosa. Alex is a writer and colorguard teacher at her old high school. We met through at color guard try-outs at Kent State. I have to put this next part in because i don't remember the try-outs; we became friends at lunch one day at bandcamp where her dry sense of humor came out and we have been best pals ever since! I am so grateful to have you in my life and am so glad to have you be a part of mine and kristi's special day!
Bridesmaid
Becca is another one of Kaitlyn's bridesmaids. She is living in California with her boyfriend Tanner, working on her fellowship in public health. We met at Kent State. She lived with Alex, my other bridesmaid, down the hall from me in the dorms. Alex told me that she couldn't wait for me to meet Becca. I didn't know that I would be gaining another friend that day! Now she is the girl I can always count on to join me on the dance floor or to have a real talks with when I need it! She has an amazing heart and a wonderful personality. I can't wait for you all to meet her on mine and Kristi's special day!
Bridesmaid
Natalie is one of Kaitlyn's bridesmaids. Kaitlyn was one of her bridesmaids in her wedding to her husband Ben. Natalie and Ben are currently expecting a baby in December! We have known each other since we were 5 years old. We were in kindergarden and then in girl scouts together up until the third grade. We also did high school marching band together. We have been there for each through everything. I was there in her wedding as one of her bridesmaids a couple years ago. I am so grateful to now have her be a part of my special day.
