Austin Hall

As March 2 is General Sam Houston's birthday, there is an annual march from Austin Hall on the SHSU campus to his gravesite. The march takes place at 10:15am, followed by a special ceremony at Oakwood Cemetery at 11:00am.
Sam Houston Memorial Museum

The museum grounds are home to numerous buildings that belonged to General Sam Houston. They are all situated around the duck pond. It's a wonderful place to just sit and relax or walk the grounds learning about the houses.
