Love never happens when it's expected. Kristian overheard Biana talking to her friend about her Physics 1 class and how she might as well purchase the textbook now that she's in the bookstore. He noticed her pick up a textbook for an advanced class and took his opportunity to point out her mistake as he handed her the correct textbook. Biana, slightly embarrassed, briefly thanked Kristian and left with her friend. He took a few months to ask her out, most memorably asking if she wanted to study with him for the Physics final, to which she immediately said "No." He then rephrased and asked if she wanted to go out the day after Christmas. Fast forward 9 years, and here we are.

During intermission on the August 12, 2018 performance of Hamilton on Broadway, Kristian convinced Biana to take a selfie. Claiming it wasn't quite good enough, he asked a benevolent stranger to take their photo. As Kristian directed the young man as to where to stand and Biana looked on with her back to him, Kristian knelt down on one knee and took out the ring. She said yes, by the way.
